چکیده

Non-Hermiticity and dephasing, collaborating in an unusual wave-packet dynamics, realize unconventional entanglement evolution a disordered, interacting, asymmetric (nonreciprocal) quantum medium. Taking the Hatano-Nelson model as concrete example, we first consider how wave packet spreads non-Hermitian disordered system for demonstrating that it is very different from Hermitian case. Interestingly, cascadelike spreading case suppressed clean limit at weak disorder, while revives vicinity of localization-delocalization transition. Based on this observation, then analyze entropy evolves interacting model, revealing its nonmonotonic time. We clarify roles dephasing time systems, show many-body dynamics governed by principle The size dependence results suggests with increase area-volume--area-law crossover maximal entropy. To effects disorder firm basis, using benchmark, employ quasiperiodic (Aubry-Andr\'e model) analyses.

Entanglement in Many-Body Systems

The recent interest in aspects common to quantum information and condensed matter has prompted a flory of activity at the border of these disciplines that were far distant untill few years ago. Numerous interesting questions have been addressed so far. Here we review an important part of this field, the properties of the entanglement in many-body systems. We discuss the zero and finite temperat...

Entropy production and wave packet dynamics in the Fock space of closed chaotic many-body systems.

Highly excited many-particle states in quantum systems such as nuclei, atoms, quantum dots, spin systems, quantum computers, etc., can be considered as "chaotic" superpositions of mean-field basis states (Slater determinants, products of spin or qubit states). This is due to a very high level density of many-body states that are easily mixed by a residual interaction between particles (quasipar...

Measuring entanglement entropies in many-body systems

We explore the relation between entanglement entropy of quantum many-body systems and the distribution of corresponding, properly selected, observables. Such a relation is necessary to actually measure the entanglement entropy. We show that, in general, the Shannon entropy of the probability distribution of certain symmetry observables gives a lower bound to the entropy. In some cases this boun...

Quantum Entanglement in Many-body Systems

This article is intended to be a pedagogical review of the recent studies of quantum entanglement in many-body systems. The basic concepts of entanglement for pure and mixed states are introduced in an intuitive approach. We will see that in the weakly interacting BEC and BCS superconductivity theories, the pair of particles with momentum k and −k are entangled but they are not correlated with ...

Wave-packet entanglement

We propose and analyze a scheme by which a many-particle system can be prepared in highly entangled wave-packet states. One of the particles is prepared initially in a quantum superposition of multiple coherent states and then coupled via a quadratic interaction Hamiltonian to a number of other particles. The system evolves into a highly entangled wave-packet state. An appropriate measure of th...
